| Duffy's Tavern (Amherstburg Inc.) enjoys as it celebrates its 48th year of business. "People know us all over - not just in Essex County, London and Toronto, but throughout the United States too!" But in 1959, when Zarko was employed as a pop salesman, the decision to buy a restaurant 20 miles outside of Windsor wasn't an easy one for a young man who had emigrated from Europe just 10 years before. "I was working for Windsor Beverage selling pop and saw that the building was up for sale," recalls Zarko. "I saw the water out front. I saw what could be done - I had my own vision." |
